It’s been a big month! I’ve just returned from the RACMA Conference in Perth and took the opportunity to write an article to help demystify medical administration and system leadership roles for doctors and how doctors can step into system leadership roles with confidence.
You’ll also find details below on next year’s Career Development Workshops (now booking), plus a look at one rostering solution that’s making a real impact in healthcare organisations.
And finally, I was delighted to receive a phone call from a doctor I recently coached, who said the interview prep session left her feeling much more prepared and that many of the questions we practised came up on the day. That’s exactly why I do this work.
Warm regards, Anita
Exploring RACMA and Medical Leadership
Off the back of my recent trip to the RACMA Conference in Perth, I decided to write an article that breaks down what “medical administration” really involves and how doctors step into system leadership roles. It explores the RACMA framework and how it can guide your professional development.
You can read the full article here on LinkedIn.
And while you’re here, feel free to connect with me. I’d love to welcome you to my professional network.

Sharing Knowledge and Building Connections
RACMA turned on an excellent conference in Perth last week, with hundreds of medical leaders joining to benefit from an extensive program. For me, highlights were re-uniting with past clients and enjoying hearing about their new roles and meeting many others working towards creating better hospital systems for patients and the staff working within them.
I’m already looking forward to again sponsoring the Candidate Social Function in Melbourne next year!
Thank you to the RACMA team for this wonderful opportunity to learn and share ideas.
One of the businesses exhibiting at the conference was Core Schedule. I offered the founder the opportunity to inform the Standout Medical Careers readership of their services.
