Hello
With the 2026 application cycle on the horizon, many doctors are already turning their attention to interview preparation, career planning, and what comes next.
In this month’s newsletter, I’m sharing practical advice to help you get ahead — including a new article on preparing for specialty training interviews and a 5-Minute Specialty Prep Audit to help you uncover potential blind spots in your application strategy.
Warm regards,
Anita
How to Prepare for Specialty Training Interviews
If you’re applying for specialty training, you’ll know just how competitive and high-pressure the process can feel, especially when you’re already working long hours and juggling clinical, research, teaching and leadership commitments.
This month’s article breaks down a practical, supportive approach to interview preparation. You’ll learn how to structure your responses, highlight your strengths, and communicate clearly under pressure.
If you’re feeling unsure about how to prepare, or you’ve been unsuccessful in previous years, I also offer 1:1 coaching to help you refine your narratives, practise effectively, and walk into your interview feeling confident and ready.

Introducing Standout Wednesdays
I’m excited to introduce a new initiative launching on 7 January 2026: Standout Wednesdays.
Every Wednesday evening, I’ll be hosting a 45-minute drop-in session designed for doctors who want ongoing support with their career development. Whether you’re navigating training applications, preparing for interviews, exploring leadership opportunities, or simply wanting a space to ask career-related questions, this will be a welcoming place to learn, connect, and stay on track.
These sessions are informal, practical, and built around real challenges doctors face in the Australian hospital system. Think of it as your mid-week career boost – guidance, clarity, and community, all in one.

…or add it to your calendar and join whenever you need clarity or momentum.
I’m looking forward to supporting many of you in a consistent, meaningful way throughout 2026.
